Alliance College

Our Training Partner

Alliance College is a South Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO 0137) with more than 45 years of experience in education and vocational training.

Delivering the IAAP

For apprentices participating in the Industry Accelerated Apprenticeship Program, Alliance College delivers the formal training component of the pathway to:

SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

The training combines formal instruction with practical kitchen-based learning and workplace experience.

Apprentices develop skills in areas including:

  • Food preparation and production
  • Kitchen operations
  • Food safety and hygiene
  • Menu planning and recipe costing
  • Safe work practices
  • Teamwork and workplace communication
  • Commercial kitchen practices

Alliance College also manages the Training Plan and assesses competency throughout the apprenticeship.

This ensures that the formal training component works alongside the apprentice’s practical workplace experience.

How the partnership works

The AGTO and Alliance College partnership is designed to give apprentices more than a qualification. It connects:

  • Training
Formal education and assessment through Alliance College.
  • Employment
Employment and ongoing support through AGTO.
  • Experience
Practical skills development with a host employer.
  • Qualification
A nationally recognised vocational qualification upon successful completion.

This integrated approach helps apprentices connect what they learn in training with what they do in the workplace.
